Obituary of René León Gonzalez

René León Gonzalez 83, loving father and loyal friend, resided in Tampa, passed away May 28, 2019, in Tampa. He was born June 8, 1935 in Havana, Cuba, and graduated from Winthrop University, S.C. with a Master’s degree. He was a writer, Poet, Historian, recipient of various literary awards and Editor of Pensamiento Digital blog. René is survived by Ileana J. León and Maria León Shepherd of Tampa, FL. He was predeceased by his wife, Josefina León Peréz; his beloved cats and co-editors, Mingo and Rambo León. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to any no kill shelter or LifePath Hospice.
