Obituary of Dallas Calvin Tracy

Dallas Calvin Tracy passed on to his eternal life with Jesus on August 9, 2019 at 93 years old. He was born on May 27, 1926 in Wayne, Ohio and later relocated to Florida, where he spent the rest of his living years. The days and weeks leading up to his passing, he was surrounded by the love of his family, passing peacefully in the arms of his daughter Rebecca. He joins his parents (Charles Tracy and Mae Hauenstein), three of his brothers (Russell, Merle and Raymond) and his son (Chuck). He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 69 years, Marcelyn Tracy and his brother Perry. His three living children remained by his side Nancie (Gerry), Brad (Sharlene) and Rebecca. He had five grandchildren Tracy, Matthew, Joshua, Kali and David and eleven great grandchildren Michael, Marissa, Christopher, Sophia, Chloe, Quentin, Colby, Evelyn, Alessandra, Madeline and Dallas.

Dallas proudly served his country as a Corporal in the United States Army, in the 7th Cavalry defending our country in the Korean War, and later retired in 1988 as a craftsman in manufacturing. Some of his most beloved hobbies included woodworking, golf, fishing, watching sports and spending time being a mentor for everyone around him. His life was peaked by joining an RV club and traveling the country in his early years of retirement.

Dallas was the solid rock for his family, he and Marcelyn have built a beautiful large family that they are so proud of. They started their family by adopting their four children and went on to mentor and love anyone that entered their lives. He taught us all about honor, respect, loyalty and most importantly unconditional love, because of him we are all better. He is greatly missed but his life will live on and be cherished for generations to come.

Rest in love, peace and wholeness with Jesus.
