Obituary of Linda Burke
Linda Joyce Scott Burke was born June 2, 1942 in Cairo, Georgia to the loving parents of Luscious Scott Sr. and Dessie L Scott Thompson. The Scott family then moved to Tampa, Florida where she attended elementary school in Boca Grande, FL. She then attended Howard W. Blake high school in which she graduated in 1962. She united in Holy Matrimony to the late Charles Burke.
Linda Burke became a member of Faith Temple Church of God, under the leadership of Pastor Rev. Mose Smith. She enjoyed being a Sunday school teacher that brought inspiration to many students that have become Reverends, Teacher, and Motivators. Mother Burke entertained the Church as a choir member with uplifting songs such as “I’m a Believer” and many more.
Husband Charles Burke preceded Linda Burke in death. Mother : Dessie Scott Thompson, Father : Luscious Scott Sr. Siblings: Brothers: Luscious Scott Jr, Roosevelt Scott Sr., and Joseph R. Scott (Vietnam War Unit), Sisters: Eva Lee Camon, Doris Blanden, Sirena McCullough, Claretha Q. S. McCall, and the only surviving sibling Florita A. S Lovette. Children: Clarence Marino, Dwan Marino, Michelle DuBose, and Hueyretta Marino. Grand Children: Clarence, Danielle, Monique, Gerald, Hampton, Tyisha, Jamarcus and twins Tashawn, Rashawn, Dwan, Damarcus, Channel, Tatianna, Star, DeAngelo, Calvin, Anthony, Nardina, and Twenty Nine Great Grands. Daughter in Law: Nita Marino Son in Laws: Derrick DuBose (Army Veteran) and Tharon Baker.
