Obituary of Sonia M. Garcia

Sonia Longval Garcia age 65 of Tampa, Florida passed away peacefully at her home with her husband, into the arms of her heavenly father on Wednesday, January 15, 2020.  Sonia was born on March 19,1954. Sonia was predeceased by her parents Henry and Charlotte Longval, her daughter Jennifer Garcia and her brother Henry M. Longval.  Sonia is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Guillermo Garcia, her sons James Puleo (Janet), and William Garcia (Adriana).  Sonia is also survived by her grandchildren who were the loves of her life, Brianna Puleo 18, Annabella Puleo 14, Jayden Garcia 12, Adrian Garcia 4.  Sonia also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Sonia graduated from Tampa Bay Technical High School class of 1972.  She had many careers but the one that was most gratifying to her was working as a data processor at Caminiti Exceptional Center.  Sonia loved serving Caminiti’s disabled student population. 

Sonia will be remembered for her bravery throughout her years of medical issues.  She was a beacon of light, strength and laughter to all.  We pray that God gives us the strength to fill the void in our lives.  Sonia will always be with us in spirit.  She was the bright spot in our lives, and she will be missed but never forgotten. 

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 2 p.m. at

8407 Ola Ave. Tampa, Florida 33604.
