Obituary of June J Cooper

June Cooper, 76, of Tampa, Florida passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27th, 2020. June was born in Arab, Alabama on January 19th, 1944 to the late Fonzo and Tempie Jacobs.  She graduated from Chamberlain High School in 1962 and married Don Cooper on January 18th, 1963.  June and Don were married for 57 years and blessed with two children, Glenn and Christine Cooper.  June worked as an administrative assistant for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, retiring in 2008.  One could almost always find our June Bug in the BINGO halls with her long-time friend Dian or with her husband, Don on the weekends frequenting the flea markets or garage sales.   June cooper was an avid reader and collector of Nora Roberts novels.  In her youth, June loved traveling with family on yearly vacations and often reminisced in her later years.  June Cooper is survived by her husband, children, and sister.  She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  June is preceded in death by her siblings Clifton, Terry, and Carlotta. Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at Florida Mortuary Funeral and Cremation Services located at 4601 N. Nebraska Avenue Tampa, Florida 33603.  Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m., located at 6502 SW 102nd Avenue in Bushnell, Florida 33513.
