Obituary of Dixie Miller Martinez

        Dixie Miller Martinez was born on November 19, 1948 in Shreveport, Louisiana.  She graduated from this world to a heavenly one on August 13, 2020.  She is survived by her mother Doris Huckabee Miller, her beloved husband Reinaldo ‘Pete’ Martinez, and her two sons Roy (Megan, twin granddaughters Katelyn and Jamie) and Brian (Karen).

        Dixie was married to Pete for just over 50 years.  She was also a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and a member of Hillsdale Baptist Church since 1982.  She was an x-ray technologist, office manager for Angel’s Unaware, and after retirement, became a teacher’s assistant at Hillsdale Christian Academy.

        Her health rapidly declined after receiving a cancer diagnosis in July.  We rejoice that she did not suffer long and is now pain free in the arms of her Savior.

        The memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 11:00 am at Hillsdale Baptist Church.  The church is located at 6201 Ehrlich Rd, Tampa, FL (Click here for Directions).  For friends and family unable to attend the memorial, the service will be broadcasted live.  She will be buried later at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
