Christopher Power

Obituary of Christopher Power

Born in Milford, Massachusetts on June 24, 1949 Chris took his last breath on earth at the VA hospital on January 30, 2021.  He was predeceased by parents Andrew & Joan Power, brothers Lee & Michael Power.  Chris leaves behind two brothers Thomas & Lawrence Power, his beloved nephew Lachlan Power and the love of his life, his wife Lori Ruemekorf-Power along with loyal Labrador, Spencer.  Chris was a hero who served his country proudly.  Most of all, Chris was a true & loyal friend predeceased by several of those dear to him yet, survived by many others who are deeply mourning his swift & sudden departure.  If he had the chance he would tell us all “Life is good, but short...kiss your kids, belly rub your dog, hit that long drive, catch the wind, stop & smell the orchids, treat others with kindness and always, always let those you love know it, daily”  After all COVID 19 restrictions are lifted we will gather together @ Bushnell National Cemetery & give him a proper goodbye.  Chris was a lifetime member of the VFW 10140 and in lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project.
