Obituary of Margaret Dozier

Margaret age 91 passed away peacefully on April 19, 2021, surrounded by her family. Margaret was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who loved spending her time with her family and friends. Margaret was born in Tampa, Florida, on November 21, 1929, she was predeceased by her parents Charles and Berta Milian. Margaret is survived by her husband of 51 years Alvin Dozier, her six children Anthony J. Gonzalez Jr. (spouse Linda), Lorraine Valdez, Carrie Ann Torres, Donna Dozier (spouse Robert), Butch Dozier and Brandon Dozier; her six grandchildren Anthony J. Gonzalez, III, Brian Gonzalez (spouse Alyssa), Philip Ottinger (spouse Lisa), Lovee Dove (spouse Aaron), Lazaro Mesa, Patrick Sawyer, and Ryan Dozier; and her three great grandchildren Aaron Dove, Jace Dove and Leo Dove. Margaret is also survived by her sister Yolanda Gonzalez, niece Lisa Gonzalez, and nephews Charles Gonzalez (spouse Jenny), and Albert Gonzalez (spouse Robin).

Margaret was raised in Ybor City, before moving to New York City for a short period. Margaret returned to Tampa where she married and raised her children. Margaret was a member of the Catholic faith and was a member of Saint Lawrence church. She was employed over the years with Kash and Karry, Creative World as a regional manager, and American Fitness working in the daycare. She later retired to help take care of her Grandchildren. Margaret’s interest including playing the piano shopping, traveling and visiting amusement parks with her family. Her favorite drink was a Mai Tai and her favorite saying was “lets go drink a Mai Tai”. Margaret had a love for animals and loved her pet dog “Snickers”.
