Obituary of Ivan Hunsucker

Ivan, “Grumps”: Husband, Father, and Grandfather shared laughter and love on his way to Heaven Saturday, May 29, 2021. Born March 20, 1945 in Parris Island, SC, he was a lifelong Tampa resident, whose passions included cooking, fishing, hunting, and ministering to others. He never met a stranger and never passed up an opportunity to tell others about the love of his Jesus. Most of all, he loved his family and he will be missed by them all. Ivan leaves a legacy of unconditional love, culinary excellence, furniture restoration as an art form, and squirrel hunting (you had to be there!). He is survived by his wife Vivian; children Tasha (John), Stacy (Robert), Shelley, Carrie (Jeff), Timothy (Elena); grandchildren Tori, AJ, Branson, Riley, Madison, Noah, Grace, Nadia, Sakae, Christina, Rebekah, and Jonathan.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4pm on June 27, 2021 at South Tampa Fellowship-Davis Island Campus 97 Biscayne Avenue Tampa, Florida 33606.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in his name to the American Kidney Fund (kidneyfund.org) or The American Heart Association (heart.org). “You can shed tears that he is gone or you can smile because he has lived.” -David Harkins
