Ella Ann "Toppie" Croy, Age 83 of Tampa Florida passed away Tuesday August 17, 2021, She was born on August 31st, 1937 in Chattanooga TN.

Preceded in death by husband Walter Cecil Croy and Parents William Franklin Mongar and Ida Lee Edwards

Survived by Son Derik B Russell (wife Diane deceased) Daughters Susan D Russell (wife Denise), and Mariaha N Russell-Croy (adopted) Brothers Gene Mongar (wife Betty deceased) Jerry Mongar (wife Cindy) Sister Faye Bledsoe (husband Bob deceased) Grandchildren 5 and Great Grandchildren 9

Ella Ann Croy, "Toppie" to most who knew her was also known as Mom, Grannie Annie, and Sister. She was born and raised in Chattanooga TN, though lived in Florida most of her life, spent her years being a mother to Susan and Derik, an Office Manager for a private D.O., a Director of Ruskin Health Clinic, in HR Marriott of Chattanooga, Assistant for H&R Block Chattanooga, Long distance truck driver with husband Walt and she particularly enjoyed her time working for Canova Bus Service shuttling railroad crews.

At 70 years of age, she and husband Walt cared for 2-year-old and eventually adopted great granddaughter Mariaha.

 

Always a steady hand that never had a harsh word for anyone, Joyful, Kind and Considerate She had a ready smile to brighten anyone's day died with daughter Susan and daughter-in-law Denise by her side.

We are reminded in the book of Psalms - Your eyes saw me when I was formless; all my days were written in Your book and planned before one of them began.

You are missed.
