Obituary of Ranchhod Virchand Patel

Ranchhod Virchand Patel, age 84, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 21, 2022.  Our father was born March 18th, 1938, in Kenya where he lived until he moved his family to London, England in 1972.  He subsequently moved to New Jersey, USA in 1978. 

Our father was happily married to our mother, Pushpaben, for 67 years.  He was a dedicated son, husband, brother, father, grand-father, great-grandfather, and friend.  Our father is survived by his wife, Pushpaben, his 3 children - Hitesh Kumar, Vimesh Kumar, Priti Chirag,  and their spouses, 6 grand-children - Nikhul Chandra & spouse, Hnisha Nimi, Krishan Manoj, Milan Chirag, Emi Mira, Soniya Chirag, and 2 great grand-children - Jay Nikhul, and Mya Tanvi.

Our father persevered through difficult times, always looking at the positive side of every situation. He saw the good in people and made his wife and family his first and foremost priority in life.  He was a generous man who gave his time and energy in helping people in need, believed in a solid education, and being available for everyone.  Our father loved being surrounded by his family, brothers, sisters and spouses, and friends in the US, India and England, sharing stories and enjoying the sound of laughter. 

He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

We will honor his life at a funeral service on July 29, 2022, at 9:00 AM at the Florida Mortuary located on 4601 N. Nebraska Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33603.
