Hi everyone I just wanted to share a memory with you. One of the best memories of my lifetime was my family and the Melendez crew rented a house in the beach. It was gorgeous there right on the water. We all stayed up late playing one of Pete's favorite games stretego I think. And 4 a.m. comes around and Pete is telling me to get up. He wants to go work out on the beach. But I wasn't going hell no to early. But Pete was having none of it. So a grappling match ensued and I finally let him win. lol yea right but I was the most beautiful thing I had seen and I'll remember that till my last day thanks Pete you will be missed more than you know and I'm so blessed God put our paths together love you always

You are missed terribly. I'm so thankful we moved across the street all those years ago. You welcomed us into the neighborhood, your life, and showed a young couple the meaning of love, friendship, and how to become great, fun parents. And let's not forget the importance of curb appeal with our yard landscaping. Haha I have been looking at your face a lot these past few weeks, working on a slide show with Michelle for your Celebration of Life. Looking through old photos and videos of you has been sad, yet wonderful because I'm reminded of your beautiful soul. Always laughing, making jokes, a truly positive person no matter the circumstances. I know you are looking down on all of us, smiling, and shouting out "Tampa Bay!" We miss you, brother.

Pete's greeting was always a smile and a kiss, which made me feel welcome and cherished. My favorite memories include dancing, dinner and a bit of drinking (more Michelle and I than him, tho).
What a lovely man! He treated everyone with respect and kindness. The world was a better place with him in it -- he will be forever remembered and missed.

My wonderful husband Pete was my everything. He truly was one of a kind. Full of life, love and happiness. He was honest and never afraid to show his emotions. I will never forget his kiss and warm touch. I love and miss him so much that my heart aches. I’d give all the world just for one more moment to be with him. He gave me such lovely memories I will always hold close in my heart. I am so proud I was his friend and wife for 27 amazing years.
Thank you Pete for your endless love that helps me through each day and for all the memories we shared that will never fade away. Thank you for our beautiful daughter Emily and for raising Heather as your own. It hurt so much to see you in pain and growing more tired with each new day. You suffered in silence and faced your pain with courage and somehow kept your beautiful smile even with your last breath. You fought so hard to stay with me but now you are free.

I can't believe you have been gone for almost two weeks. Its been so unreal knowing that you aren't going to be there when I start to head over for a visit and/or dinner or knowing that you wont ever be there standing in front of me at work when I look up expecting a customer (always a nice surprise btw). I wish we had more time for all the family things that I know deep down you will still be at in spirit and definitely in our hearts. We had our up and downs like any father/daughter relationship but you were always there when I needed you. You helped raise and mold me into the woman I am today and I'm thankful for you and mom for teaching me what I know. I will always remember all the good times we have had and you will be missed so much. You touched so many hearts over all the years that I've known you and I know your memories will do the same. "Pete and I work together for 23 years, over these 23 years, he was more than a coworker, friend. He was my brother, we share so many good memories through out these year. I could count on Pete for anything day or night. His family became my family and mine his. I missed hearing his voice, and those long conversations.
