Obituary of Shirley Jean Scheig

Shirley Jean Scheig, age 94, of Tampa, FL, passed on March 18, 2023. 

Shirley was born in Toledo, OH. She raised her family in Toledo and Sylvania, OH, where she worked many years for Flower Hospital and Crestview Club Apartments, before retiring to Tampa, FL. 

She loved singing, reading, travel and shopping. 

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Leta and Henry Meyer, infant son David, and husbands Wayne Miller and Paul Scheig and son-in-law, Jeffrey Whitman.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Miller and Thomas (Sandra) Miller, daughter Linda Whitman, step-daughters Felicia (Arnold) Page and Heidi (Eric) Johnson, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. 

Memorial services will be held at Lutheran Church of Our Saviour in Tampa and Memorial Lutheran Church in Toledo. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
