Obituary of Carol Ann Mills

Carol Ann Mills, age 74, died on April 3, 2023. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia on May 6, 1948 and moved with her parents to Temple Terrace, Florida. She graduated from King High School in 1966 and attended Valdosta State College where she earned a bachelor’s degree majoring in education. She later earned a master’s degree at the University of Tampa.

                Carol dedicated her life to educating young students. She was a teacher who worked 37 years with Hillsborough County Schools. After retirement she continued to tutor children and adults to help them reach their academic goals. She was always generous with her friends and supported many charities.

Carol, an only child, was predeceased by her mother, Eleanor Powell Mills, who was a violinist with the Norfolk Symphony, and her father, Robert (Jack) Mills, who was an executive with Union Carbide. She is survived by close friends and her godchildren.
