Obituary of Irene S Oxonian

Maria Irene Oxonian, fondly known as Irene to her family and friends, was born in the town of Toledo in Cebu City, Philippines to Magdalena Cruz and Luis Sotelo who have both passed on. Irene was born on Dec. 3, 1962 and entered the Kingdom of God on Dec. 12, 2006. She was 44 years old. Irene is survived by her husband, Crisanto Oxonian and their 2 children, Cristian, 10, and Kristen, 5; her siblings who lived in the Philippines - Aniceta, Theresa, Veronica, and Luisa who lives in Saudi Arabia. Irene lived a life where she was known for simplicity and selflessness. There was always humility in her words, deeds, and her choice of how she lived her life. She was loving and caring wife, mother, and friend who constantly made sure that others needs, especially that of her husbands and children, were taken care of first before her own. First impression of her left an image of unfriendliness and aloofness, but as one gets to know her better and as friendships became stronger and closer her legacy became that she was most caring, giving and selfless. There will be a mass at St Paul Catholic Church on Monday, Dec. 18, 2006 @ 7PM. Irene will be brought home to the Philippines to be reunited with her siblings and relatives whom she hasn't seen for more 10 years. Cris, Cristian & Kristen will be coming home to the Philippines with her. A viewing will be held at the Sanctuarium in Quezon City Philippines all day Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006 and the morning of Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006.
