Obituary of Irma P Parry

Parry, Irma P., 88, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away August 1, 2007. She was the last surviving child of Cady and Harry F. Preston of Celina, Ohio. Irma was born and raised in Celina, Ohio. Her intellectual curiosity led her to Grant Nursing School, where she graduated with an RN Degree in 1939. Tenacity and determination served her well, especially during the 47 years she lived with multiple sclerosis. An adoring grandmother, mother, and wife, she was a woman of grace and elegance who lived a full life with love and generosity. Irma possessed a unique spiritual understanding which encompassed an appreciation of diversity and respect for others. A talented and creative woman she mastered many interests, foremost of which was cooking. Irma was married to Carroll D. Parry II, her loving husband for 67 years. She exuded an incredible wit and zest for life. Irma will forever remain an inspiration to all who had the opportunity to experience her charm and love. She was preceded in death by 2-sons, Carroll D. Parry III and John D. Parry. Irma is survived by her husband, Carroll D. Parry II of Tampa, FL; daughters, Diana M. Parry, Lancaster, Ohio; Elizabeth P. Burns of Tampa, FL; son, Thomas A. Parry of Little River, South Carolina. A Memorial Service will be held at a future date in Lithopolis, Ohio.
