Obituary of Joseph Kyle Gillis II

Joseph Kyle Gillis II passed away on March 29, 2023, in Tampa, FL. He was born on April 22, 1940, in Parsons, West Virginia to Mildred and Joseph Kyle I. He came to FL in Aug. of 1960. He attended Sacred Heart Academy and Jesuit. He joined the USMC Reserves between his Jr and Sr year.

He went on to attend SPJC during which time he met and married the late Judith Cummings. They had 3 children; Kyle Gillis (Diane), Karen Hansen (Erik, EJ and Emma) and Michael Gillis (Arlene, Riley, and Natalie) who he was deeply proud of. Joe went on to be a successful Real Estate and Mortgage Broker. He was married to the love of his life for 56 years.

He was known for his late-night double decker sandwiches and always having his door open. He will be dearly missed. Dad did not see any reason for a funeral or memorial service.
