Obituary of Rosella Swendson

Tampa-  Rosella Swendson, 79, passed away April 5th, 2023. She was born on June 27, 1943 in Lucasville, Ohio to the late Henry I. Alley and Minnie Pearl Debord - Alley. Rosella graduated from The Ohio State University.  She became an avid pool player and won many tournaments.  Rosella enjoyed going to yard sales and spending her time with family and friends. Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband, Guy L. Swendson; children, Vicky J. Seymore and Gerald Flaugher, Jr.; grandson, Jason Seymore; siblings, Nola Pearl Alley-Moore, Paul C. Alley and Boone Alley.

She is survived by her son, Bruce E. Swendson (Gina) and her children, Holly Swendson, Lindsey Swendson (Debbie), Dotti Swanson (Andy) and Julie Balducci; sibling, Henry Alley, Jr. (Terri); grandchildren, Nicholas S. Swendson (Angeline) and Zachary Alley; great grandchildren, Kennedy and Rosaline (due 6/2023); niece, Lea Sacco (Mitch); great nieces, Tiffany Achille (Ron) and Brittney Fillmore (Josh); son-in-law, Curtis Seymore and Rosita Bamba, a special sister-in-law along with many other family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 15th at 4pm at Florida Mortuary, 4601 N. Nebraska Ave, Tampa, Florida. Memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Association located at 8180 Greensboro Drive, Suite 400, Mclean, VA 22102 in Rosella’s memory.
