Obituary of Sharon Lee Burbage

Sharon Lee Burbage (G-Ma), 82, of Bushnell, Florida passed away on Saturday, November 25th, 2023.

Sharon was born on August 13th, 1941 in Omaha, Nebraska. She spent some years growing up in Laguna Beach, California before moving to Tampa, Florida where she met her husband, Harry, and devoted her life to being a wife, mother and professional homemaker. She and Harry eventually settled in Bushnell, Florida where they lived a simple and peaceful life on their beautiful acreage. She spent the remainder of her life there, sharing the property with one of her sons and living for visits from family and friends but especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons and sister. Many beautiful memories over three generations were made there with her.

Sharon was a loving wife of 51 years to the love of her life, the late Harry Davies Burbage, loving mother to two sons, Robert Lee Burbage Sr. and Harry Davies Burbage Jr. Beloved grandmother to four grandchildren, Courtney Leigh Selfollari, Robert Lee Burbage Jr., Gregory Lee Burbage, and Codey Lee Burbage. The worlds most adoring great-grandmother to two great-granddaughters, Mila and Sofia Selfollari. Loving sister and best friend of 81 years to her sister Judy Larkin and loving sister to three brothers, Ronald “Butch” Lauer, William “Bill” Lauer (predeceased) and Lloyd “Scoop” Lauer (predeceased). Loving aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Sharon will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. It is difficult to put into words how wonderful and special she was. She was the light of our lives, beautiful inside and out, caring and giving, and an avid animal lover and rescuer of any stray animal that found their way into her yard. She was an incredibly loving and involved grandmother and great-grandmother whose world revolved around her grandchildren. She loved hosting and making the holidays special for everyone she loved. She had the biggest heart and always put others before herself, never even forgetting a birthday of anyone she loved. It’s impossible to describe the happiness, joy and kindness that she exuded, always smiling and laughing and making others feel so loved.

Our angel on earth is now an angel in heaven, reunited with her husband whom she missed so much. No amount of time with you would have ever been enough, G-Ma (Mom). We love you endlessly and we’ll miss you forever.
